At CJ Performance Cycles we understand that sometimes you want something a bit special, bling or unique to you and your type of riding. This can start with the basics like a colourful bottle cage and matching water bottle or getting some grips or handlebar tape in your favourite colour or a full custom build to your exact specifications to suit your style of riding.
Some brands we stock offer their own customisation programs (Orbea MyO & Ridley Configurator), where you can take their stock bike, change the colours and specification to suit.
In addition to these custom colour options we can hand build you a custom bike for road, mountain, gravel, CX, touring or any other style of riding you may enjoy. You can choose from any frameset we are able to get from manufacturers like Giant, Liv, Cadex, Genesis, Orbea and Ridley (framesets coming soon).
Once you’ve picked your frame, we can discuss the components which will be attached to your bike. Which style of wheels would you like to run? Would you like mechanical or electric gears? If you opt for electric gears, would you prefer wireless (SRAM) or semi wireless (Shimano)? Rim brakes or disc brakes (frame and wheels depending)? We can even do a “pre-bikefit” to get your ideal position on a bike and order the appropriately sized handlebars, stem, pedals, seat post and saddle.
When your bike is built, we will get you back into our Cramlington store for an actual bikefit where we tune in your position. Custom bikes can also be built by our Newcastle store and collected there, but all bikefits take place in our Cramlington store.
